This majestic building was commissioned by the eponymous entrepreneur Attilio Odero to the great Tuscan architect Gino Coppedè in 1912. Designed as a summer residence in Copped’s signature style, the property is set in one of the most extraordinary locations on the Gulf of Portofino – a promontory just above Punta Caiega, where it commands breathtaking views over the Ligurian Riviera. Villa Mafalda is currently undergoing careful restoration and will reopen in 2025. In charge of the interior renovation is celebrated architect Martin Brudnizki, whose vision pays homage to Ligurian craftsmanship. The lush gardens, meanwhile, have been designed by leading landscape architect Marco Bay.

Available for exclusive use only, the Villa comprises four suites in the main building plus one bedroom in the separate stone guesthouse, named “La Casetta”.

The first floor of the Villa offers a generous living room and dining room with TV area and pantry , and a fully-equipped terrace with bar area. There is also a furnished rooftop terrace at the top of the Torretta (little tower), a private garden pool and sun loungers , private access to the sea, gym, and outdoor wellness pavillion . La Casetta has its own outdoor plunge pool with dining area and sun loungers.

1ST SUITE - Sleeps 2

Located on the ground floor, this generous space includes a dressing room and a marble bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. Both the bedroom and dressing room have access to the balcony affording beguiling sea and Portofino vistas.

2ND SUITE (MASTER SUITE) - Sleeps 2

The Villa’s largest bedroom is the master suite on the second floor, which boasts an elegant double bedroom with views of Portofino, a separate lounge area with access to a balcony, two marble bathrooms with original frescoed ceilings and two walk-in dressing rooms.

3RD SUITE - Sleeps 2

Located on the 3rd floor, this splendid suite includes an ensuite marble bathroom with separate bathtub and walk-in shower. The lobby is shared with the other suite on this floor.

4TH SUITE - Sleeps 2

This elegant accommodation on the third floor features an ensuite marble bathroom with separate bathtub and walk-in shower.

LA CASETTA - Sleeps 2

Sitting separately from the main Villa, La Casetta comprises a bedroom with adjacent lounge area with sofa bed, a private bathroom and an outdoor terrace surrounded by olive trees. With sun loungers and a plunge pool with a diameter of 1.80 m, the terrace is a sublime spot to relax and soak up the views.
