Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and sprawling grounds, Keythorpe Hall offers a glimpse into England's past while also serving as a luxurious venue for weddings, events, and elegant gatherings. This stately abode is a testament to meticulous design, boasting exquisitely proportioned formal rooms that exude opulence. The grand reception hall stands as a testament to the hall's legacy, adorned with twin fireplaces and a magnificent grand piano. A dining room, capable of accommodating up to 20 guests, awaits moments of conviviality and fine dining. The fully appointed family kitchen is a haven for culinary endeavors, and a breathtaking double drawing room bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows offers sweeping views across the undulating hills.
Ascending the grand staircase leads to 7 lavishly decorated bedrooms, each possessing its own distinct charm. Five of these rooms boast luxurious en-suite bathrooms, while the remaining 2 bedrooms can be utilized as a delightful suite, sharing a generously sized bathroom. All bedrooms are adorned with sumptuous super king beds, with the flexibility for 2 rooms to be arranged as twin beds, catering to diverse guest preferences.
Nestled in the east wing lies a charming 3-bedroomed apartment, providing a tranquil retreat for those in the group with young children, teenagers, or private staff such as nannies. This enclave offers a perfect balance of privacy and proximity to the main halls, ensuring a seamless blend of independence and camaraderie within the estate's embrace.

Keythorpe Hall has over 20 acres of grounds, with 10 acres of formal gardens, and woodland, all with paths and walks close to the house. There is a tennis court, croquet lawn and wood-fired cedar hot tub with spectacular views. In addition, there are lovely countryside walks - the Midshire Way runs through the village. Activities such as horse riding (there are stables, paddocks and a manège on-site if you’d like to bring your own horses), cycling, sailing and water-sports on Rutland Water and country sports can be arranged.

 
 

Accommodation:

Ascending the staircase leads to 7 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each with its own unique charm. Five of these rooms have luxurious private en-suite bathrooms, while the other 2 bedrooms share a large bathroom and can be used as a suite.

All bedrooms have large king-sized beds that can be arranged as twin beds.

In the east wing, there is a lovely 3-bedroom apartment, perfect for families with children, teens, or private staff like nannies. It offers a good balance of privacy and closeness to the main areas, allowing for independence and togetherness.

Bedrooms include air conditioning, luxury towels & bathrobes, linen sheets, and LabSolue candles & scent diffusers.

Food & Drink:

In the kitchen is Bent Varming, a top chef who trained at Copenhagen Hospitality College and worked at famous restaurants in London. He emphasizes simple, fresh Nordic cooking that lets high-quality ingredients shine. The menu features family meals and special feasts with produce from our garden and local farms.

The estate has partnered with acclaimed sommelier and 'Which Wine When' author, Bert Blaize, to enhance your dining experience at Keythorpe Hall. Bert, with his expertise from top establishments and a successful fine food & wine shop, will be your dedicated wine advisor. He will craft tailored wine and drink pairings to complement your menus and special occasions.

Location:

  • Uppingham is a 5 mile drive away, Leicester is 13 miles to the East.

  • Direct trains from London St. Pancras to Market Harborough take about 55min. Taxi from station is around 15min. Other nearby stations include Leicester, Oakham, and Peterborough.

  • East Midlands Airport is 34 miles away (45min drive)

  • Birmingham Airport is 50 miles away (just over an hour by car)

  • Stansted and Luton are 1.5hrs away. Deenethorpe (11 miles)

  • Leicester (9 miles) and Wittering (19 miles) are nearby small plane airports.

  • Helicopter landing is accommodated on the grounds, and there is a heliport at Leicester airport.
