Welcome to Hotel Il Pellicano, where luxury is timeless yet understated, it is in the atmosphere, a gesture, and any number of small details. Open for ‘the season’ the hotel captures the loveliest times in Italy from spring to autumn, when sunlight glints off the fresh seas lapping Il Pellicano’s private cove. The hotel spills down Monte Argentario into a secret cove of rare beauty, between Rome and Pisa, in Porto Ercole. Il Pellicano is composed of six cottages and a main building and it’s a cluster of villas which have been transformed into 50 stunning hotel rooms. The hotel has two fabulous Italian restaurants and wonderful bar for aperitivo. Dine under the Michelin starred restaurant and moonlight of Il Pellicano Restaurant, which offers traditional Italian cuisine with a twist of international flavours. The Pelligrill overlooks the sea and the pool terrace, capturing all the freshness of the sea. Catch of the day is prepared in different delicious ways, traditional Tuscan cuisine is preserved and enriched with products from bordering region.
Il Pellicano has a private beach club and pool, where you will fall in love. There is an elevator slipping up and down the cliffside to the water’s edge, the esplanade trimming Il Pellicano’s private bay. A juice bar offers a healthy refreshment with powerfully beneficial recipes such as a maqui berry and blueberry infused Rejuvenat, for anti-aging, or Liquid Gold, an antioxidant infused with banana and saffron. Drop off your boat to private pier, waterski, paddle board, or snorkel over the pristine underwater landscape. Or simply lie in the warm sun watching the ripples on the sea, perfecting the art of farniente.
The holistic spa, The Pelliclub is the delightful place to enjoy an experience more than skin deep, more about the ‘touch than the cream’, thanks to a team of expert therapists and the products from Santa Maria Novella and Biologique Recherche for facial treatments. There is a caldarium, three treatment rooms with private showers, including one for couples, and a shiatsu mat room. The beauty parlour offers a complete service from manicure to coiffure.
