A beautiful Georgian family home lovingly restored to its historic origins and rewoven into a luxury private property standing 400 acres of secluded Hampshire landscape. A country haven, sculpted over centuries by ancient heather, woodland, gardens and meadows, Heckfield place is both tamed and gently wild.

The elegant interiors show both design and attention to detail, with each bedroom offering a different aspect and connection to the grounds. From bespoke English oak furniture to mats handwoven from rushes harvested on the River Ouse, their comfort and character is written in the natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship found throughout.

Resolutely natural, elegantly evolving, this is a living place centred on sustainability and a forward-thinking view on the relationship with the land. Each day, produce is picked fresh from the gardens and farm and served in restaurants Marle and Hearth. In the riches of the Hampshire landscape, Home Farm is central to Heckfield Place’s belief in sustainability and legacy. Each day it provides fruit, vegetables, honey and fresh flowers for the restaurants and rooms. The team encourages guests to discover the farm for themselves and to pick fresh ingredients to be prepared for their supper. It is a country haven with a progressive vision, directed by the culinary imagination of Skye Gyngell.

The little bothy spa offers all natural treatments, with a movement studio and gym from Bodyism, making it the perfect place to work out and unwind. Guests have access to five treatment rooms, three studios for personal training, yoga and pilates and a movement studio from the lifestyle specialists at Bodyism.

From 18th-Century origins to a 21st-Century hotel, Heckfield Place has been gently evolving for over 250 years. Designer Ben Thompson’s elegant interiors honour the history of this magnificent house, as the estate looks to the future in establishing a sustainable legacy.
