THE VILLA
The hidden gem of the Balearic Islands, Menorca is a wonderfully wild and natural island on which an intimate atmosphere and subtle charm is sure to win you over. Menorca has long been a closely guarded secret and, situated as it is off the beaten track of mass tourism, its natural environment has remained largely unspoilt. Boasting a rich diversity of fauna and flora, picturesque little villages and a genuine local culture, Menorca is a rough diamond with authentic Mediterranean charm. Its small size means it’s easy to travel around and discover the island’s main asset: a 216 kilometre long coastline dotted with untouched coves and crystal clear waters. In short, Menorca is a paradise on Earth and that’s without mentioning its breathtaking landscapes, welcoming inhabitants, original traditions such as the “jaleo” horse-dancing fiesta and delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
Treat your family, your friends, your guests to an immersion in the heart of Menorcan wilderness. Having this architectural jewel, completely renovated and sublimated just to yourselves is a privilege. The privilege of intimacy, silence, beauty and understated luxury.
The house, a large 1,000 square meters build, has eleven bedrooms and an extra bedroom for six children, each with its own ensuite. Each bedroom varies in size ranging from 17m2 to 30m2, outfitted with a king sized double bed and a private bathroom or shower room. Amenities will be provided, as will cool linen sheets and towels for bathrooms and pool area. One of the bedrooms, the ground floor and all the outside space including the swimming pool have been built with full accessibility to guests with reduced mobility.
Lying in front of the property stretches out a jardin a la francaise with its garden pavilion and an appeasing fountain. Next to the 25 meters long swimming pool, sits an outside kitchen area, the ideal setting for barbecues and local specialities.
To make guests as relaxed and easygoing as possible, the two chefs, two waiters and two farmers will take care of preparing and serving all meals at the house. They would be at your disposal to prepare a Menorcan but creative cuisine made with ingredients coming largely form the island and the Finca itself. If you would like to have an example of a weekly menu please ask, and note that the Chef is always happy to adapt to any requirements and wishes...all you have to do is ask!
The property is mindful of energy and water consumption (only using solar energy) as well as recycling and composting, reducing plastic use and sourcing local materials. They have a farm-to-fork approach using organic and seasonal produce from their farm.
