THE HOTEL
Chelsea’s most charming boutique hotel.
Beaverbrook Surrey transports its quintessential British charm, Japanese allure and the flamboyant spirit of Lord Beaverbrook to the historic heart of Chelsea. The two beautifully restored Georgian townhouses are home to 14 suites, each styled and named after celebrated London theatres, a superlative Japanese restaurant and a vibrant bar. This beguiling boutique luxury hotel boasts a prime perch on stylish Sloane Street, overlooking the leafy-green grandeur of Cadogan Gardens.
Expect good old-fashioned hospitality and impeccable design by Nicola Harding from a range of rooms and suites that pay homage to London’s magnificent historic theatres. Sink into sumptuous beds in boudoirs designed to recreate the ambience of the plush velvet pleasure palaces that delighted crowds in bygone eras. Brimming with carefully curated posters, illustrations, vintage photography, and bespoke written histories, each theatre’s fascinating story is seamlessly regaled in finely crafted words and pictures.
Beaverbrook Town House reimagines the flamboyant Lord Beaverbrook’s colourful life in London, where he hosted world leaders, literary greats and Hollywood stars in singular charismatic style. His actual London home was The Vineyard, a tiny Tudor mansion on the Hurlingham Road in Fulham, and the fine Georgian townhouses, sited at the most exclusive end of Sloane Street, are the perfect vessels to replay Lord Beaverbrook’s fabled hospitality.
The Town House is home to a unique range of art collections and a myriad of historic and whimsical treasures created and curated by Beaverbrook’s creative director, Sir Frank Lowe. Over 500 works are tastefully showcased, including Japan’s great masters, bespoke historic theatre memorabilia and quirky vintage images of London’s best-loved tourist attractions.
DINING
The Fuji Grill- The majestic beauty of the solitary Mount Fuji has long been a revered object of worship and a rich source of artistic inspiration for the Japanese. It has also served to inspire us to name our peerless sushi bar and grill after it, and to pay our own homage with a carefully curated collection of Fuji inspired art, dominated by famous 19th-century Japanese masters, Hokusai and Hiroshige. Enjoy an elegant menu of flawless sushi, sashimi and nigiri, alongside signature Beaverbrook dishes such as ‘Charcoal’ Wagyu with Juniper Miso.
Omakase experience- Exquisite Japanese dishes are served over 12 or 20 courses during our Omakase Experiences at Beaverbrook Town House. Take your seat at the Sushi Bar, in an intimate corner of The Fuji Grill, and allow our Sushi Chef to take you on a journey of flavour as he creates modern Japanese specialties using authentic techniques.
In keeping with tradition, our Omakase experiences menus are ever changing, allowing the chef to create dishes that complement the season and highlight the best of Japan’s unique cuisine.
Sir Frank’s Bar- Joyfully embracing the spirit and spectacular design of Japonisme-inspired Art Deco, Sir Frank’s Bar invites guests to reimagine Lord Beaverbrook’s colourful life in London whilst relaxing in an atmosphere of effortless elegance with their favourite tipple.
